In the dark world of Etharis, Aurean, Gondril, and Iq fight their way out of the Ditches to find their way to the surface. Their bodies and souls become lost or distorted (sometimes both) as they make their way to the surface, though only one of them is lucky enough to make it home before the end.

In a land inspired by Japanese culture and set in the world of Vodari, Kuru, Kichiro, and Asagao work to put an end to a cult taking over and corrupting the land. Aided by Blaine (when he can make it), they take down the Lady in Red Silk and restore peace to Najin.

Zandri, Kreachure, Finwick, and Yasmin deal with horrors of the dark and creatures of the night in their vain attempt to slay The Devil Strahd.
